FOCUS - SEPTEMBER 2015 27 St. Johns Anglican Church Blackstock Thank you to those who assisted and everyone who joined us in making this a memorable anniversary celebration. We look forward to many more. The congregation would like to invite everyone out for the final two events of the year in celebration of their anniversary. September 13 There will be a Cemetery Service including a guided tour by local historian PaulArculus. Service and tour will be held at St. Johns Cemetery 3791 Edgerton Rd. Blackstock at 230 p.m. This will be an excellent way to learn about this areas ancestors. October 17 We invite you to join us for our 175th Anniversary Fall Tea from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Entertainment from 12 noon to 1 p.m. by the Suburbanaires a senior mens choir led by Milt Rainey specializing in barbershop music. One last note everyone is welcome to join us for Sunday service throughout the year at 930 a.m. Paul Arculus Milt Rainey This month in the SCA Gallery The Scugog Council for the Arts Gallery will show- case exquisite quilting arts and encaustic paintings by Marion Meyers titled Layers of Line and Colour throughout the month of September. The Opening Reception will be held Saturday September 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the SCA Gallery 181 Perry St. Unit G-1. On Saturday September 12 Marion will be on hand from 1 to 3 p.m. to dem- onstrate encaustic painting techniques. Everyone is welcome.
