Remembering Bill Lishman Bill Lishman and volunteers created “Icehenge” on Lake Scugog in 1998. Lishman’s “Autohenge” in 1986 was erected for a Chrysler car commercial. Bill teamed up with Joe Duff in 1993 to teach Canada Geese how to migrate by following an ultralite. Bill strikes a pose with his self-sculpted, bigger than life-size statue, which greeted visitors at the front of his undergournd home. Bill Lishman’s replica Lunar Lander built in 1971 was sold to a Japanese firm in 1983. WILLIAM A. LISHMAN 1939 - 2017 Scugog lost one of it’s most creative and talented residents with the passing of Bill Lishman on December 30, 2017.
