In 2016 it’s back. We’re calling it Take Back the Lake – Paddle and a Pint. It is a fun team-building event for businesses. Teams can come out and try paddleboarding while raising money for the Scugog Lake Stewards. This is an event that requires NO Paddleboard experience. We want you to just get out there and have some fun with your staff. Monday August 22nd starting at 4:30 p.m., the businesses will compete in a short relay in the late afternoon in Palmer Park. Then the party moves to Old Flame Brewing Company for drinks and a buffet dinner provided by Marwan’s Global Bistro. The top three teams will get a prize pack from Old Flame. The donation will build in size depending on how many teams enter the event. Note that teams do not have to consist of staff. They can include friends and family. What a great excuse to get fit and get on the water! Monday august 22 PalMer Park, Port Perry Cost is $250 for a team of four. Each racer receives a technical race shirt and is entered to win a $2,000 paddle board (Draw is August 20th). Dinner tickets for the after-party are $50 per person and includes two drink tickets at Old Flame and a buffet dinner. Racers must purchase a dinner ticket to enter the brewery for the after-party and awards ceremony.
