This document sets forth Council’s strategic priorities and gives direction to Township staff and advisory committees on their implementation. Individual departments align their work with these strategic priorities through annual business plans that contain, among other things, mission and mandate statements, goals, key initiatives and performance measures. Progress reports are then prepared throughout the year by each department. Council has worked hard this past year to maintain and improve municipal services and infrastructure, while limiting property tax increases. This has been accomplished by a rigorous budget process that has identified numerous efficiencies and non property tax revenue enhancements. We will continue this financial focus on your behalf while at the same time searching out best practices and innovation in the delivery of our services. While we are not without our challenges, Scugog continues to be one of Ontario’s finest communities. It’s why families have remained here for generations and newcomers choose to move here. Our quality of life is truly unparalleled and we will not waiver in our efforts to protect and enhance it on your behalf. Mayor Thomas R.
