Several months ago Jonathan van Bilsen and Libbie Burns cre- ated a concept, which would bring funding to the Scugog Council for the Arts and also draw more people to visit Port Perry. The concept: a cookbook featuring local eateries, their recipes, their people and their stories. The book, complete with beautiful photographs, in- teresting articles and fantastic recipes features 18 of Port Perry’s finest eateries and is now available at restaurants, many shops, the Scugog Council for the Arts, 181 Perry St., in Port Perry and online at photosNtravel.com Granville Anderson MPP Durham held his free public skating event at the Scugog Arena on Thursday March 16 from 1 - 2:30 p.m. Unfortunately Granville on the right was unable to don a pair of skates as he had come from a meeting. Taking part in the skate was Tyler Renaud and his sons Wyatt (black helmet) and Seth (white helmet). When skating commenced there was hot chocolate and timbits for all. A fun day for everyone!
