Again this year, residents will have the opportunity to pick up free compost as well as purchase recycling bins, curb side compost bins, backyard composters and kitchen com- post bins. Quantity will be limited. Bring a shovel and container. A non-perishable food item for Operation Scugog would be appreciated. This event takes place on Sunday April 16 at 1 p.m. following the Church Chicks Easter Bonnet Contest. As in past years, children ages 3 - 7 will be entered into groups after which they’ll scamper along Queen St. (which will be closed to traffic between Water St. and Perry St.) to search for their own special eggs that they can trade in for a bag of candy.
