8 FOCUS - JULY 2018 Location: Palmer Park (downtown Port Perry) on the shore of Lake Scugog Cost of admission: FREE - (with a request for donations to Rotary fundraising) Hours of operation: Friday July 27, Noon - 10 pm Saturday July 28, Noon - 10 pm Sunday July 29, Noon - 9 pm Alcohol responsibility: The Port Perry Waterfront Ribfest is a licensed event and alcohol can be purchased during the event. Everyone is encouraged to enjoy themselves, be responsible with their alcohol consumption and don’t drink and drive! Are children welcome? Absolutely. This is a family event. In addition to the licensed area, we have carnival rides, ice cream and additional vendors set up on the north ball diamond and parking lot for family participation and enjoyment. Public access to the Township Splash Pad and Children’s Playground equipment is also being maintained by the Rotary Club. Dogs and other pets? Only properly identified service animals are permitted. No other animals or pets will be allowed. Is parking available? The Ribfest is a community event and we expect a large number of out-of- town guests. To alleviate downtown parking congestion, we encourage everyone to utilize the off site parking at the Scugog Community Centre, 1655 Reach St., Port Perry. A no-charge shuttle service is available to move patrons from the community centre to the waterfront, worry free. Limited handicap parking will be available at the foot of Mary St. Do ribbers or vendors accept credit card or debit? No. The Port Perry Waterfront Ribfest is a cash only event. ATM machines will be on site for your convenience. What other foods are available? Vendors selling ice cream, chicken, corn on the cob, french fries, bloomin’ onions to name a few. Can I smoke?
