Locally, the club has committed $150,000 to the Oak Ridges Hospice of Durham, hosts an annual Christmas Dinner for seniors, provides educational bursa- ries, promotes literacy and breakfast programsinlocalschools,participates in the Rotary International Student Exchange Program, works with other local service clubs through Partners in Service to provide financial sup- port for Durham residents in need and supports Camp Scugog – an outdoor camping experience for chil- dren, youth and mothers affected by poverty and other barriers.
