They were avid antique collectors who admired the charm of old country stores and antiques. Together they rented a small store on Queen Street in Port Perry. Teri Venner the full-time manager at that time bought merchandise for the store and seemed the natural for taking over the ownership. In April of 2005 the Lukes passed the torch to Ron and Teri Venner of Port Perry. Their children Megan and Steven worked there with their parents until graduating from university. Today Ron and Teri are still enjoying the daily activities of running the store and seeing new and regular customers. They are proud to be owners of the little gift shop that opened in 1976 and has grown along with the community. The Venners and the Lukes April 27 2005 the day the Venners purchased the business.
