FOCUS MARCH 2018 5 is modelled in every detail, even the way that a plate of exceptional food created by chef Aaron Moss is served. “We love to spoil our guests,” Deborah said. NWI’s business partners also exemplify “a high qual- ity of passion.” Some of the many local entrepreneurs who team up to make NWI such a success, include Hank’s Pastries (with their fresh dinner rolls,) Marcelle’s Kitchen for gluten free treats, Branching Out which weaves its floral design magic, the delicious brisket from Port Perry Smokehouse, the mini tree favours from Pine Needles tree farm, Cakes by Stephanie and many more. Local musicians and photographers are hired for events on a regular basis and NWI partners with Century Transport to transport guests. NWI refers overflow guests to nearby hotels and B&Bs. The Port Perry B&B Association and Nestleton Waters have a joint website and brochures. “We are thrilled to have so many high quality part- ners,” Deborah enthused. Erik and Deborah’s children Sam and Racquel (at University now) grew up helping with the family business too. Future plans are to “make people’s stay even more memorable.” Harry established extensive gardens on the property. There are wild grapes, an herb garden, rhubarb, a maple sugar bush and berries. Deborah would like to expand the inn’s garden and create culinary treats like jams, jellies and chutneys, “so peo- ple can take the flavours of the country inn home with them.” Products may also be sold online. Developing a full- time spa and continuing the Dinner Dates program are also planned. All with Five Star Love, of course.
