Especially if it is conveniently located in their own backyard! RG Styles staff is continuing to take the lead on its tra- dition of Million Dollar SMILES, by building playgrounds to put smiles on the faces of local children who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Don’t miss the big fundraising event being held at Old Flame Brewing Co., 135 Perry St., Port Perry, on Sunday July 14 from 2 – 6 p.m. Your $40 ticket will include one free beverage and amazing food from Marwan’s Global Bistro. You can enjoy entertainment by Dino Stakos and bid on desirable silent and live auction items. As usual in the caring and generous township of Scugog, the community has rallied together to support the fundraiser to make the magic happen. Many volunteers and sponsors join RG Styles staff, family and friends. Vos’ Independent Grocer held a ‘Give a little, Give a lot’ campaign at the cash registers from June 6 – 20. And from June 28 – July 12, McDonalds Port Perry will donate ten cents from every cup of coffee sold to this important cause. Cheques from these generous local businesses will be pre- sented during the fundraiser on July 14. Million Dollar SMILES was also thrilled to be the re- cipient of funds from the June 4 meeting of 100 Women Who Care Scugog. Although this is the first big annual Million Dollar SMILES fundraiser spearheaded by RG Styles, it is cer- tainly not the first backyard playground the team has built. There are two more slated for September 8 and 15, which will bring it to a total of four, over the past four Million Dollar Smiles from Vos’ Independent Grocer Service Manager, Heather Wilkinson and owner Terry Vos, kicking off the campaign.
