32 FOCUS - JULY 2019 The Scugog Shores Museum Village is pleased to be hosting the travel- ling exhibit “Freemasonry: A History Hidden in Plain Sight” from July 2 – August 30. The exhibit was created by the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre in Southampton, Ontario and has travelled exten- sively across Ontario over the last few years. This carefully researched exhibit promotes the knowledge, apprecia- tion and understanding of Masonic history, and Freemasonry’s influ- ence on society today. The historical story is told through six display cases containing storyboards and artifacts, regalia and other objects as well as a portrait gallery containing famous Masons from around the world. Don’t miss this unique opportu- nity to learn the “real” story of the Masons. The Museum Village is located at 16210 Island Rd., Port Perry. The Village will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until August 30. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students, $2.75 for seniors, $2.00 for children ages 5–12 and free for children under 5.
