6 FOCUS - JUNE 2018 Sunday May 6 was the inaugural Hike for Hospice and what an incredible day it was! 300 participants hiked the one, three or five kilometer route and raised tons of money! A STAGGERING $39,000!! Before the hike, McDonalds donated coffee and afterwards our Knights of Columbus barbequed tasty burgers donated by Trading Post and veggie burgers donated by Copper Branch. Bill Dowson supplied the sound system and entertainment. Dr. Jack Cottrell and wife Michelle kindly donated the bright volunteer t-shirts. Whitney Cohoon was instrumental in having the fairgrounds cleaned up after the windstorm on Friday evening. Thank you to all the Dignitaries, Town Crier Bill McKee, volunteers and each and every one of you who walked or donated to this hike!!
