The town is continually growing and expanding, especially in the business sector, as businesses such as the Port Perry Dairy Bar, located on Water Street in the 1950s.Irwin Tripp, who married Cora Gerrow, whose family owned Gerrows Bakery, owned the garage next door that is now Hanks, on Queen Street. In 1988, the Pizza Delight and Roosters BBQ Chicken were located a few doors down from where the Creamery was.
