b'A wonderful tip of the top hat .What was billed by the Lake Scugog Historical Society (LSHS) on HistorianSunday July 24th, as their 37th annual Garden Party and Memorial Walk, was that and so much more. The historical walk was led by none other than our own Paul Arculus PAUL ARCULUS and the rain didnt dampen any spirits. The walk was moved in to the church on the Scugog Shores Museum grounds, due to the weather.Claudette Brock joined Paul on the stage to regale the crowd with thehistoryofthemuseumandnotonlywasiteducational, butso entertaining. But the biggest surprise of the day was the tribute to honour Paul. After so many well wishes and congratulations brought from dignitaries, friends and his wife Isobel, President Marilyn Pearce then had a heartfelt speech and announced that a tree will be named in Pauls honour. The afternoon also included the presentation of the new Jimmy Frise exhibit on now through September 2.Above: Isobel Arculus addressed the crowd with (LSHC) President Marilyn Pearce and director Bill Minors listening.
