FOCUS - JUNE 2019 43 What’s Up NOTICE We know the Focus on Scugog magazine is extremely well read and much loved, and What’s Up is the place to go to find out what is happening in our area. The popularity of our What’s Up column is wonderful, but at the same time, we find ourselves in a bit of a quandary. As everyone is aware, these events have been free to post on a monthly basis, but here is where we are encountering a problem - our expenses. Our print costs and our postal costs depend on revenue and as we thank each and every one of our regular advertisers, the ever- increasing page count for What’s Up is not economically favourable. Because of this, we will now be charging what we feel is a fair amount of $40 per month to help us along! If your event is free, your listing will continue to be free, but yard sales and events with an admission or charge of any kind, will be $40 + HST. We certainly hope you understand our position at this time! Your feedback is appreciated. Always remember that the deadline is the 8th of the month, one month before your event.
