FOCUS - SEPTEMBER 2018 19 BEHIND THE SCENES BUILT FOR THE FUTURE Much of the work of repairing and upgrading the Port Perry Hospital since the fire last year has taken place in parts of the building that the public does not have access to see. The pictures on this page show some of the complex mechanical rooms which have been completely re-built. Some of the work included a new generator room with two generators, two steam boilers for heating, new electrical panels and wiring throughout and a new sterilization process department. This is just a few of the improvements and installations in the $14-16 million retrofit of the hospital. PHOTOS BY J. PETER HVIDSTEN
