MONDAY HALF PRICE WINGS PORT PERRY’S GHOSTS AND GHASTLY DEATHS An agency of the Government of Ontario. Relève du gouvernement de l’Ontario. An agency of the Government of Ontario. Relève du gouvernement de l’Ontario. Thursday October 26 at 6:30 p.m. Do you want to find out about Port Perry’s ghostly past? Just in time for Halloween, fans of Port Perry’s Ghosts and Ghastly Deaths will be able to indulge their thirst for the unusual on Thursday October 26. Hosted by local historian Paul Arculus, Theatre 3X60 will be performing some stories around tragic deaths that took place in Port Perry’s past. During this past summer, Theatre 3X60 performed a series of re-enactments entitled Pine Grove Plots: History To Die For, in the Pine Grove Cemetery. This project proved to be an overwhelming success with large enthusiastic audiences in attendance; the project was made possible with the support of an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant and created in partnership with the Lake Scugog Historical Society. The short plays were based on accounts presented in Paul Arculus’ book Pine Grove Cemetery. At the October 26th event, Paul will lead the audi- ence on a walk along Port Perry’s Queen Street point- ing out the locations of tragic deaths and strange and mysterious happenings. Along the walk, stops will be made to witness re-enactments performed by the Theatre 3X60 cast. This special Halloween version of Ghosts and Ghastly Deaths takes place Thursday October 26, 6:30 p.m. and will start and end at the Scugog Council for the Arts, 181 Perry St., Unit G-1, right beside the Municipal Office. Tickets are by donation (suggested $10/person) and include post-walk refreshments. The walk is approximately 70 minutes in length and will run rain or shine.
