Rooted in our Community since 1967 SAVE THE DATE! Where does the money go? Locally, the Rotary Club of Port Perry has committed $100,000 to the new Oak Ridges Hospice with a pledge for an additional $50,000 by year end 2018. Internationally, we support an orphanage in India, along with other Durham Region rotary clubs. We continue to support the inoculation of vulnerable children against the polio virus. We contribute support and funds toward literacy on a local, national and international level. We participate and support a very important student exchange program through Rotary International. This inclusive program encourages interaction among young people from different countries and walks of life, to better understand cultural and social differences. The ultimate goal is world peace. In addition, we offer support to a number of important local initiatives. The model UN Club at Port Perry High School, the new skate board park in Caesarea and the new playground equipment at Prince Albert Public School are a few of the recent projects the Rotary Club has been financially involved with.
