2 FOCUS - FEBRUARY 2016 Thank You from Operation Scugog Dear Editor A huge applause to our friends and neighbours who live work play go to school and worship in Scugog Township for generously supporting Operation Scugog Food Bank throughout the year. Because of this support the Food Bank is able to provide an outstanding service in the community. Without judgment donations are given and without judgment the volunteers distribute on behalf of the community. A huge thank you as well to the dedicated volunteers who give so generously of their time and caring. Chris Cook on behalf of the Trustees of Operation Scugog Food Bank Bakersville - 20th Successful Year Dear Editor Wow What a great spread on the gingerbread village in your New Year edition of the Focus. Thank you so much for blowing our horn and showcasing what a great community project this is It certainly was a fantastic display from an awesome community making the 20th anniversary very memorable. Thanks again to you for your continued support and to everyone who participated in the village. Tracy Pastic one of The Bakersville Village People Kudos to a Courteous Bus Driver Dear Editor I wanted to give a Thumbs Up - to the school bus driver Stock bus 4529. This driver runs a route from View Lake to I believe Blackstock and is incredibly courteous to all the drivers behind him or her. The bus always pulls to the side of the road after picking up students in order to allow the trac backed up behind to go by. This certainly expedites my morning commute into Port Perry and eliminates all need for cars to pull out and pass the bus. It may add a few moments to the ride to school each day but it is safer and very much appreciated by all of us trying to get to work on time.
