FOCUS - JULY 2015 45 and Fun Torch Run 3. Dana Smith torchbearer giving it her all and enjoying every moment of it 4. Dana Smith handing the torch over to Gary Edgar for his run. 5. Everyone getting into the strenuous Zumba workout An emotional day for our torchbearers who with every step they took made Scugog proud. Fun was had by hundreds of people of all ages taking part in the festivities at Palmer Park before the run. Vos Independent served up free hotdogs and Nutty Chocolatier offered free popcorn. Then came the opportunity to dance off those calories by Zumba workouts with Katie Baylis and for the kids an oversized beachball contest sponsored by Sunnybrae Golf Club. Thumbs Up Despite the weather the torch could not be dampened on June 8 as it made its way through Port Perry. 1. The fun beachball contest sponsored by Dorie and the gang at Sunnybrae.
