b'Kilts and tartans took over Queen Street on Sunday April 2.The Scots are coming! And they certainly did on Sunday April 2, as the Tartan Parade was held on Queen Street. Local dignitaries, many in kilts, pipers, country dancers, Uxbridge Legion Pipe Band, 78th Fraser Highlanders and even Scottish breed dogs took to the street. The day celebrates Scotlands independence from England and the declaration was signed on April 6, 1320. Stewart Bennett of the Wee Tartan Shop schedules the pa-rade to be on the closest Sunday, in order to give more people an opportunity to participate.Photos by MaryAnn FlemingUxbridge Legion Pipe Band.Cool shot(s), literally.
