Cassies Dad Tony Guida, who has been a contractor for 30 years, was the perfect fit for taking on this respon-sibility at Birchwood. TheHunterfamilywantedtothankotherfamily members and friends who deserve credit for helping to turn this dream into a reality: Graphic designer Daniella Erwood, Johnny Messina, Dave Osborn, Justin Blakeley, Sean MacInnis, Megan Svelnis, and Scott Ursaki.Many hands pulled together to erect the dome, which was ordered from Freyja Skye in B.C., and arrived on a skid in the middle of the forest clearing.Cassie recalled that assembling the dome was a chal-lenge but with everyone pitching in, the build went well and it only took about a weekend to install.Would they do it again? Maybe! Cassie says a future plan is to add another dome to the site, maybe a larger four-person dome, possibly before the summer of 2022.At the present time, efforts are being focused on work-ing with the greater business community and promoting tourism. Cassie noted the importance of local businesses supporting each other.
