The 3rd annual Tyler Hanson Memorial Street Hockey Event will be held Saturday September 29 from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday September 30 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., at Vos’ Independent Grocer’s parking lot, 1893 Scugog St., Port Perry. The tournament is played in memory of Tyler Hanson, who passed away at 12 years old in September 2015 after a tragic accident. The event is hosted by the Hanson family as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham and members of the KICKS Fund. All proceeds are divided between Sick Kids Hospital PACT unit and BBBSND. It’s a celebration of lo- cal culture and live music featuring performers Madeline Merlo, Brad James, and Ben Hudson with proceeds sup- porting Big Brothers Big Sisters North Durham. There will be a delicious BBQ dinner by Marwan’s Global Bistro and beverages provided by Old Flame Brewing Co. along with both a silent and live auction, raffle, cash bar and dancing to DJ Todd Soomre. Of course, #TeamAdamson will be supporting the event production and just might have some new technology in action.
