On Saturday July 1, Palmer Park was a sea of red and white! The morning started with a fabulous parade down Queen Street, opening ceremonies and festivities in Palmer Park and fun all day and in to the evening and ended with a spectacular bang .... the fireworks! 1. Scugog’s first mayor, Mayor Bigelow (aka Paul Arculus), addressed the crowd during the opening ceremonies. 2. Regional Chairman Roger Anderson captivated the audience with his remarks. 3. 4,500 cupcakes were donated by Vos’ Independent Grocers. 4. Summer Jam - “Big Wreck” entertained at the fairgrounds Friday evening. 5.
