FOCUS - MAY 2017 57 The Scugog Chamber of Commerce held their 2017 Awards of Excellence evening on March 23 at the Scugog Recreation Centre. It was an enjoyable time of networking with great food served by Culinary Contessa Catering Co. Jonathan van Bilsen, the emcee, was his usual humourous self and the guest speaker for the evening was Durham College President, Don Lovisa. The two big smiles in the front row belong to owners Kathi Amos and Rosario Greco of Rosario Greco Styles after receiving the 2016 Business of the Year award in the under 15 Employee category. Mayor Tom Rowett, Ginger Jackson, owner of McDonald’s, Councillor Wilma Wotten, First Vice-President Tony Janssen and President Julie Curran presented McDonald’s with the 2016 Award of Excellence in the over 15 employees category.
