As always, a successful event occurs with many volunteers tirelessly working behind the scenes. Also, thanks to all of the members of SSAC for their dedication and passion for improving the lives of Scugog Seniors. A huge shout out to the Township staff both at the Town- ship office and at the Arena for all of their hard work assisting us in making this event a successful one. The Durham West 4-H Fundraising Committee did a fabulous job preparing and distributing the free lunch. We also extend our very gracious thanks to Taylor Ford as they offered a free shuttle bus to pick up and drive home seniors that had no transportation. The best part of the day was seeing people entering the event full of excitement and departing with huge smiles on their face It was a fun day for all that attended. RG Styles had one of the many information booths set up at the Scugog Recreation Centre. Port Perry Seniors Club singing one of Frank Sinatra’s popular songs, “High Hopes”. Dogs were brought in by The Animal Guardian Society (TAGS) who hoped to match them with seniors looking for a suitable pet.
