A certied dental assistant at the Port Perry Dental Centre Collette accompanied Dr. Cottrell and Dr. Isenberg on a medical-dental mission to help people in need who do not have access to dental care. Due to the fact that pop is cheaper to buy than water many people of all ages were suffering from tooth decay. Collette would go back again to help them in a heartbeat. She loves her job at the Port Perry Dental Centre where she has worked for over 20 years. A mother of twin boys Dalton and Cody now aged 17 she went back to work part-time when they were six months old then eased back into full-time. Spending eight hours a day with her colleagues she has developed friendships with them which she truly values. Every day is different says Collette who enjoys the variety. She grew up on a hobby farm with an apple orchard in Port Perry and Dr. Cottrell has always been her dentist. Now Collette resides in Blackstock with her husband Keith and sons. They are an active family enjoying summertime camping in beautiful Ontario and getaways to warmer climes in the winter. Collette goes to the Zent gym and shes one of the volunteers for the annual Dragon Boat Races. Everyone in the Roberge family plays hockey. Its a fun lifestyle. We all enjoy it she says. And her employer was always exible about making sure that Collette got her kids to after school practices on time. And Yes Collette says with a smile she makes sure that she wears her protective sportsguard before hitting the ice for the womens hockey games.
